How to Prepare for Your Wedding Flower Consultation
As your wedding florist, I'm here to ensure that your flowers are perfect, and your experience leading up to and on your big day runs as smoothly as humanly possible! If you've scheduled a wedding flower consultation with me, here are my top tips on how to prep your ideas ahead of our meeting!
Take some time to research
Before the consultation, take some time to research different floral styles and color schemes to get an idea of what you like. Save some photos or make a Pinterest Board that you can share with me. As well as what you love, don’t be afraid to let me know what you don’t like about certain floral styles or colors. This will help me to suggest arrangements that truly reflect your unique vision, personality, and preferences.
Think Seasonal
Consider the time of year you are getting married. Certain flowers are only available during specific times of the year, and using seasonal blooms will almost always result in more cost-effective and environmentally friendly designs. If you're unsure which flowers are in a season don’t worry, I can guide you and suggest floral varieties that will be readily available around your wedding date.

Budget
Next, think about your budget. Wedding flowers can be a significant expense, so it's important to establish a budget that I can work towards. The cost of floral designs can vary depending on factors such as the type of flowers, size, and complexity of the arrangements. Whatever your wedding budget is, it is safe to start with around 10% of your total budget dedicated to flowers. Understanding how much you have to invest, as well as your overall floral vision, will help me to suggest varieties and design options that will achieve your desired look without straying from your spending plan.

It’s all in the details
Feel free to bring or share any additional inspiration. This can include your wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and any other décor items you plan on using. These will help me to understand the overall look and feel of your wedding, and propose arrangements that complement your vision.
Remember, the consultation is a collaborative process, and I’m here to help you every step of the way. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to hearing all about your wedding plans and talking more!
