Our Winter Wedding in Swanage, Dorset

My husband and I were married in December 2022, in the lovely town of Swanage. I have always loved the Town Hall here for its beautiful stone-carved facade and classic, wood-paneled interiors. It has a special charm of a building steeped in history and the most beautiful light thanks to the large, triple-aspect windows in the main hall. With a maximum capacity of 28 guests, it’s perfectly suited for intimate weddings and ideal for anyone looking to have a small but special, coastal ceremony.

Our small but action-packed wedding spanned three venues in total, we hosted our wedding lunch at The Priory in Wareham, where our wonderful photographer Emma took our couples photos on the sun-soaked, river-side grounds. Later we held a larger drinks reception at The Bear, a family-run boutique hotel just across the road, where we spent the evening celebrating with our friends and family.

My wonderful friend and ex-colleague Diana created my wedding flowers for me, in an earthy blue and rust colour palette that took inspiration from the local sea and countryside. Pops of brighter greens and pinks added a playful touch of colour, reflecting the overall vibe of the day and the atmosphere that we had envisioned.

It was the most perfect day in every way and I am so grateful for all of the wonderful suppliers who were a part of it. A very special thanks to:
